USA adds Stepan, Fowler for World Cup list

Team USA, looking to bolster their offense for the next World Championships, added New York Rangers rookie center fielder Derek Stepan and handling the puck Ducks Anaheim Fowler Cam to your list.Stepan scored 21 goals for the Rangers during the regular season, making him the only 20-gunner in the U.S. squad. Before his selection, Blake Wheeler of the Atlanta Thrashers was the top scorer of the USA with 18 goals.Fowler will join with Kevin Shattenkirk (St. Louis Blues) to give the Americans two men qualified for the game of power. Americans are expected to add at least two more players before the tournament starts later this week in Slovakia. Ty Conklin (St. Louis) and Al Montoya (New York Islanders) are the two goalkeepers the Americans.Versus will telecast games Americans and end of the New Jersey Devils Zach Parise will serve as the host in the Studio. Versus airs all three preliminary U.S. games — vs. Austria (30 April), Norway (May 2) and Sweden (May 4) — and then will broadcast games U.S. qualification or relegation round.
