He just spit very well and I just swallowed it, "said Thornton. "I was just in the right place at the right time. He felt great. "Kyle Wellwood, Jason Demers (FSY) and Dany Heatley (FSY) also scored for the sharks, who wore the all-California series 4-2 and avoid a game 7 in San Jose. "It is good that we don't have to play Wednesday night. We can rest, "said Thornton. "But we still have much work to do. This was a tough series. "Justin Williams (FSY), Ryan Smyth (FSY) and rookie Trevor Lewis (FSY) scored for the Kings, who lost in the opening round for the second consecutive year and won just one playoff series since his run to the Stanley Cup in 1993 with Wayne Gretzky (FSY).

"We had an advantage of 4-0 at home in game 3 and two other games were OT and right there," said forward Dustin Brown (FSY). "The difference between winning and losing is that small. They found ways to achieve goals in the OT and we didn't. "Antti Niemi (FSY) made 26 saves for the sharks after being pulled in two of the last three games. "We had the lead three times, but they turned on us, "Heatley said. "Who kill penalty 5 minutes was huge for us. That's sometimes how hockey works, you do a good job like that and you get rewarded in the end. "Jonathan Quick stopped 31 shots for Los Angeles. He gave up 16 goals in three home games of the team. "We believe fully that could have won it. That is why we are so disappointed, "defensor said Drew Doughty (FSY).Jamie McGinn (FSY sharks) received a major 5 minutes to load Brad Richardson and a lack of automatic game at 16: 37 of the third period, giving the Kings a power play for the final minutes of regulation. "We don't do anything easy, "said sharks coach Todd McLellan. Kings had four shots on goal, including two by Brown that Niemi stopped to send the game into overtime for the third time in the series."Once we kill it off, we thought we had a good chance and we'll get the momentum after killing it, "said Thornton. "We did, and we ended up winning the series after that."The Kings opened the overtime with 1: 37 left on penalty of McGinn, but cannot shot a goal ".We didn't get many opportunities, "said Johnson. "They were very aggressive, which forced it to make moves a little faster than we wanted."It wasn't long after Thornton found the left side of the open NET and scored the winning goal, sending him riding on the ice in celebration. "He hit a skate and bounced off his tape and I got caught out of position, said a quick discouraged. "If we played a little better, I could spend more time. We feel like we gave them some games earlier in the series ".The Kings rallied for a third time to tie the game at 3-3 in the third period.
